Please bring to your audition:
  • Copy of birth certificate/passport
  • Copy of most recent academic report or transcript (secondary and/or tertiary)
  • Copy of other relevant qualifications, achievement and/or references
  • One recent passport photograph
  • Proof of English proficiency for international student application
Audition Details
For successful entry into AICM you will be required to sit an audition and interview with the audition panel. The audition should include 2-3 performances of contrasting style (or 1 major and 1 minor work) that also represent your best attributes. A backing CD/DVD/band can be used for accompaniment or arrange your own accompanist.

For students with limited formal training, the panel will primarily be looking at practical ability and the potential to develop under AICM�s program. A brief sightreading, aural and musical knowledge test may also be conducted during the audition.

Distance Applications
If you are applying from outside of Sydney or cannot physically make it to the audition location, applications can be submitted via post. Please include the following items:
  1. Submit this form with all necessary/relevant fields completed
  2. A recording of your audition performance on DVD/CD/Tape/Multimedia File
  3. Copies of past certificates, achievements, portfolio, awards, reference letters, and/or academic records
13. Refund Policy
Please read the following conditions carefully. Please do not hesitate to ask the AICM Administration Office if you have any queries or do not understand anything in this document.
  1. Tuition fees are refundable in full, less enrolment fee, overseas student lodgment fee, audition fee and administration costs, if a visa application is rejected and the official rejection advice is made available to the AICM.
  2. If you cancel your enrolment more that 28 days before the annual enrolment date, then 90% of the tuition fees will be refunded.
  3. If you cancel your enrolment less than 28 days before the annual enrolment date, then 75% of the tuition fees will be refunded.
  4. If you cancel your enrolment on or after the annual enrolment date, the tuition fees WILL NOT be refunded. No exceptions will be made to this regulation.
  5. A refund will be made only after you have returned the enrolment documentation and have completed the Indemnity and Release Form.
  6. AICM reserves the right to cancel or defer courses, and to alter course timetables and class locations.
  7. Where AICM cancels or suspends a course which has already begun, the proportion of all tuition fees paid to AICM will be refunded equivalent to the proportion of the course that has not been delivered.
  8. A refund in respect of an enrolment received through an agent will normally be made to you through that agent.
  9. Refunded fees will also incur an additional charge of 5% of the original total course fee. Enrolment and overseas lodgment fees are non-refundable. Enrolment Fee is annual.
