SPOTLIGHT: MARK COSTA

One of the latest additions to our teaching faculty is Mark Costa! Mark was recruited mid-semester as a Principal Study tutor in bass guitar.

Mark has spent over 30 years in the industry as a professional bass guitarist who has performed, composed and recorded with numerous Australian and international artists and productions within his career. Such artists include The Temptations, Tom Jones, Leo Sayer, Chris Isaak, Marcia Hines, James Morrison, Shannon Noll, Guy Sebastian, plus many others. From 2003-2009 he was the resident bassist and one of the arrangers for the television show Australian Idol. He has taught at AIM in bass, music theory, arranging, songwriting and digital music technology as well as UWS in Contemporary Music Arranging.
