Performance Styles
The AICM offers studies in classical, contemporary and jazz performance. Students also undertake theory, composition, conducting, music theatre, pedagogy and church music subjects.
Practical Studies These are performance or composition studies related to the student's major instrument or voice - Principal Study, Performance Class, Ensemble Class, Choir, Concert Attendance.
Core Subjects Studies related to theory and the history of music - Harmony and Analysis, Aural and Musicianship, Music History.
Electives Courses allowing the student to shape their degree to their interests including - Production, Piano Masterclass, Jazz Improvisation, Recording, Music Theatre, Conducting, Arranging and Orchestration, Music Industry, Radiohead in Rainbows, Jazz Classical Fusion, Music Management, Big Band, Song Writing, Pedagogy (teaching).
Duration of Course
