AICM student Daniel Sacqualini plays drums for heavy metal band ‘Elegist’. With plenty of gigs lined up to promote their new single ‘Endeavour’ and more recordings on the way, the band is gearing up for a massive year in 2012.
Performing live at SFX night club on March 31, opening for ‘A Plea For Purging’ Australian tour on April 6 and performing at the ‘Sink or Swim Festival’ are just a few of the up and coming gigs keeping the boys from Elegist very busy.
Along with the live performances, Elegist are also currently in the studio recording more hit tracks to be released late April Producer Stevie Knight from Electric Sun Studio is excited to be part of the project and the band is thrilled with the results Stevie has produced.
Their first single, out now, includes 2 guest vocalists; Mack Tinker from ‘Empiors’ and Tom Kennedy from Sunny Side Up’. ‘Working with Elegist was great, the single is awesome. The boys have talent and I expect to see them explode onto the Australian hardcore scene’ commented Tom Kennedy.
Originally coming together as high school mates with big dreams and a passion for music, Cameron Greene, Drew Radinoff, Chriss Mott, Blake Curby and Daniel Sacqualini have an unrivaled camaraderie that has seen the band thrive in recent times. Following the release of their single, the boys burst onto the music scene playing gigs at night clubs and youth centres across Sydney, including Venom Night Club and Manly Youth Centre.
Studying at AICM will play a key role in fostering Daniel’s success. ‘For me, having the chance to learn from some of Australia’s leading music industry professionals is fantastic.
